I think this is the heaviest camera/lens combo I used over the years. Nikon AFI 400mm f2.8 on a Nikon F5 Film Body. The lens alone was over 14 lbs - total weight 17lbs...

Some of my early Digital Cameras - Kodak DCS 460 (1996) Nikon D1 (1999) Nikon D2X with WT-2 Wireless Transmitter (2004)

I was a Member of Nikon & Canon Professional Services and other than routine sensor cleaning I did not need to use either for repairs. Nothing broke. Both were excellent systems.
